kajal magadheera

Actress Kajal Agarwal is seventh heaven ever since her magnum opus Magadheera turned to be the biggest grosser at box office. Recently, there was a buzz that she’ll be a part of Magadheera Hindi remake as well.

When asked Kajal Agarwal said, “If I am offered an opportunity to repeat the same role in a Hindi remake, I would be really glad. But as of now, no one has approached me with such offers.”

Kajol Agarwal’s recent film Aarya-2 has been acclaimed as box office hit and yet the collections dropped down rapidly as the theatres screening this film were damaged due to Telangana issue. Right now, the actress is busy shooting for Naan Mahan Alla starring opposite Karthi in female lead.

Allu Aravind, producer of Magadheera had plans about remaking the film in Hindi with Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in lead roles.

kajal's career

Career

She began her acting career in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, in which she enacted a minor supporting role as the friend of Diya, the film's lead female, played by Aishwarya Rai. Only 3 years later, she got her next acting offer, which was veteran Tamil director Bhrathiraja's Bommalattam. The film, however, got delayed and released only in late 2008. In the meantime, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry and played her first leading role in Teja's Lakshmi Kalyanam alongside Kalyan Ram, which did not do well at the box office. Later that year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-directed film Chandamama, which became her first major successul film.

In 2008, she had her first Tamil-language film release, which was Perarasu's action entertainer Pazhani. The film, in which she shared screen space with Bharath was a commercial success. Following this film, she had two more Tamil releases that year with Venkat Prabhu's comedy-thriller Saroja, in which she did a guest appearance, and finally Bharathiraja's investigative thriller Bommalattam. Especially the former film went on to become a commercial as well as a critical success, but both films failed to boost her career as her roles were too insignificant. Both her Telugu releases that year, Pourudu and Aatadista opposite Sumanth and Nitin, respectively, neither received positive reviews nor were successul at the box office.[1]

2009 she had four releases, three of which in Telugu. Her only Tamil film that year, which was Saran's Modhi Vilayadu, released first; it garnered mixed reviews and poor box office returns. Next she starred in the Magadheera, in which she essayed double roles for the first time. The film recevied universal critical acclaim as did the lead actors, including Kajal Agarwal, for their performances. Agarwal, particularly, was praised for her portrayal of a princess, Yuvarani Mithravindha, in the film. The film was also commercially highly successful and broke several records, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film and as one of the biggest box office hits in India.[2] Following Magadheera's phenomenal success, Agarwal became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry, catapulting her into the main foray of lead Telugu actresses.

Currently, she is involved in at last half-a-dozen projects, including five Telugu films as such as the multi-starrer Om Shanti, Brindavanam opposite NTR Jr. and Darling, directed by Karunakaran. Her only upcoming Tamil film is Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu fame Susindran's Naan Mahaan Alla alongside Karthi.
